Shame tells you that you are what you’ve done — but grace says you are who God says you are: forgiven, loved, and redeemed.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You carrying the weight of shame — shame over my past, my choices, my failures. I’ve tried to move forward, but this heaviness lingers, whispering that I’m unworthy and unwanted. But today, I bring it all to You.
You know everything I’ve done, and yet You still call me by name. You still sent Jesus to the cross for me. And because of His sacrifice, shame no longer has the final word — grace does.
I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. But more than that, I ask for healing. Heal the root of my shame. Silence the voice of the accuser. I renounce every lie that says I’m too far gone, too dirty, or too broken.
Your Word says that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So I stand in that truth. I am not defined by what I did — I am defined by what Christ has done for me.
Clothe me in Your righteousness. Restore my dignity. Teach me to see myself the way You see me — whole, cleansed, and beloved.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
