Guilt reminds us of where we’ve been — but grace reminds us of who we are in Christ: forgiven, washed, and made new.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You with a heart weighed down by guilt. I know I’ve sinned. I’ve made mistakes, and I’ve carried the regret with me. It’s been hard to forgive myself, and even harder to believe that You still love me.
But today, I bring all of it — the sin, the shame, the sorrow — to the foot of the cross. I confess it openly. I don’t want to hide anymore. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and that His blood is enough to cleanse me — completely.
Your Word says that if I confess my sins, You are faithful to forgive and purify. So I receive that promise now. I don’t want to live in the past. I want to walk in freedom. Help me to leave behind the weight of guilt and embrace the peace that only You can give.
Teach me to forgive myself as You have forgiven me. Let my repentance lead to restoration — not just in my relationship with You, but in how I view myself.
Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for giving me a new start — again and again.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
