Prayer for Grief

When your heart aches with loss and sorrow, God draws near to the brokenhearted.

Prayer:
Father,
I come to You with a heavy heart, aching with grief and pain. The loss I feel is deep, and the sorrow seems too much to carry. But I know You understand — You are acquainted with sorrow, and You catch every tear I cry.

Lord, hold me in this valley. Be near to me in the silence, the memories, and the waves of emotion. When the days feel empty, remind me You are still with me. When I don’t have the strength to stand, carry me.

I surrender my grief to You. Help me to grieve with hope — not as one who is lost, but as one who believes in resurrection, in comfort, and in eternal life through Christ.

Thank You for being the God who never leaves. Heal the broken places in my soul, and breathe peace over my heart.
