When the weight feels too heavy and joy feels out of reach, remember: God is near, and He will not let the darkness win.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You carrying a heaviness I can’t fully describe. My thoughts feel clouded. My emotions are low. Even when I try to push through, the weight remains. But even here, in this place, I cry out to You — because I believe You hear me.
Lord, I ask You to lift the burden of depression from my heart. Let Your light shine in this darkness. Remind me that I am not forgotten, not forsaken, and not defeated. Though I may feel numb or weary, I know that You are still my Healer, my Comforter, and my Hope.
Help me to speak truth over myself when my emotions lie. Help me to get up again when I feel like giving up. Fill the empty places in me with Your presence, and renew my mind with Your promises.
Father, I renounce the spirit of despair and depression in the name of Jesus. I receive Your peace and joy — not as the world gives, but as only You can give. I trust You to restore what’s been broken and to breathe new life into what feels lifeless.
Thank You for being close to the brokenhearted. Thank You for loving me, even when I feel like I can’t love myself. I surrender this battle to You — and I trust that You are fighting for me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
