Addiction may feel like a life sentence — but in Christ, freedom is not only possible, it’s promised.
Heavenly Father,
I come to You weary, ashamed, and desperate for freedom. I’ve tried to fight this addiction on my own, but I keep falling — and I can’t break free without You. I no longer want to be controlled by this cycle of craving, guilt, and defeat. I need Your help, Lord.
I confess this stronghold before You. I bring it into the light. I don’t want to hide anymore. You already know my struggle, and You still love me. I believe You have the power to deliver me — not just to help me manage it, but to truly set me free.
Your Word says that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So I ask, Holy Spirit, invade every corner of my mind, body, and soul. Break the chains that bind me. Destroy every lie I’ve believed that says I’ll never change.
Give me strength to take the next right step. Surround me with support. Lead me away from temptation. And when I fall, remind me that grace is still available — and that You have not given up on me.
My body is a temple of Your Spirit. I belong to You now. Heal my desires. Rewire my thinking. Restore what addiction has stolen.
I trust You, Lord — and I receive Your mercy and power today.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
